Pandell Staff Help Fight Cancers Below the Waist
Calgary, AB – (June 24, 2010) On June 5th, 2010, a team of Pandell employees supported the Alberta Cancer Foundation's Underwear Affair by fundraising for the event and then walking 5 km in downtown Calgary in their underwear. While having a lot of fun in the process, the team raised $2,800 for the cause.
Proceeds from the Underwear Affair support the Tom Baker Cancer Centre here in Calgary and 15 other cancer centers throughout the province. These cancers account for 33% of all newly diagnosed cancers in Alberta each year. The goal is to uncover cures putting prostate, colorectal, ovarian, cervical and other cancers below the waist, behind us.
